Tattoo of seafarers and scientists
I have been thinking about this one for a wee while now. Inspired by the late Tim Hetherington’s work in ‘infidel’.
Seafarers have adorned themselves with tattoos to mark the places they have been, as a good luck charms, and to remind them of a loved one’s not necessarily the one back home…..But now tattoos are common place and I have seen some very nice art work over the years. So now I have decided to start this new and ongoing project to record the tattoos of seafarers and scientists I sail with.
